The EU Defence Innovation Scheme (EUDIS) aims to build a stronger defence innovation ecosystem throughout the EU. One of the actions is hackathons, which are awareness and outreach events developed towards fostering the proposal of innovative solutions for the defence. DG DEFIS intends to organize the first defence hackathon in April/May 2024 and thereafter conduct yearly hackathons from 2025-2027 simultaneously in several Member States and Norway.
The Commission has therefore launched an invitation to tender (eTendering – Data (europa.eu) [etendering.ted.europa.eu] for a Framework contract (FWC) in order to procure the organisational services for the EUDIS hackathons during the period 2024-2027.
